研究方向

课题组的研究围绕「言语中的社会与情绪意义」展开,目前主要有以下几个方向。

Encoding & decoding of vocal emotion

How do speakers convey emotion through the voice — through prosody and nonverbal vocalizations — and how do listeners decode these signals on a millisecond timescale? We combine EEG/ERP, eye-tracking and behavioural methods.

Neuropragmatics & social communication

Irony, politeness, trust judgments, indirect meaning: we investigate how speaker identity and social context modulate the brain's response to pragmatic content, using ERP and fMRI.

AI voice perception

As AI-cloned speech becomes ubiquitous, how do listeners separate human from machine voices? We study prosodic consistency, speaker identity, and the rapid neural distinction between human and AI voices.

Cross-linguistic & cross-cultural cognition

Do emotion recognition and social inference vary across language and culture? We compare native and second-language listeners, and listeners from different cultural backgrounds.

Applied neurolinguistics & language BMI

Language acquisition, clinical populations (Parkinson's disease, autism), and foundational work toward language brain-machine interfaces and large-scale neural language databases.
